What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Cheers guys....I've already changed the pins once and I have a brand new set waiting to go in. Unfortunately the holes in the hinges themselves are elongated so they need changing too.

Couple of minor things, swapped the pollen filter over and tightened up the nuts beneath the gear gaiter.

Downsides, ECP didn't have my fuel filter in after all so eBay order is on the way. Amazon sent my complete order for the lambda sensor (socket, crows feet, wobble bar extensions etc) except the actual bloody sensor was missing. So that's been put back a week. Also, and more worrying, is the condition of the belt. I swapped the water belt the other week and thought I'd check the condition of the main one and it's wrecked.

Not only is there visible signs of cracking, but there's a huge gouge out the side, so look out for my soon to be posted help thread on swapping the belt.

I'm going to stop looking for things I think!

Well today mine had a good clean. It had been parked under a tree recently during a rainstorm which dumped a load of little buds all over the car. They got stuck in the wipers, in the door rails, in the tailgate rails etc and then the hosewashed them all into the vents behind the bonnet. What a mess.
Looks better now :)

Got my spots wired up thanks to Andy and parts from Mr M. Ferguson ;)
Pics to follow, but suffice to say they throw out more light than any amount of chinese ebay HID conversions :)

Not directly done to the Cougar per se, but I dropped the spoiler off at work and let the students loose on it with various appliances and tools. Hoping to pick it up tomorrow or Thursday...

Not done anything to her (apart from driving) but the pile of parts is building up.

Gonna be a busy Spring/Summer and I'm kind of thinking that I should've invested in a welder first.

Just given mine a quick once over with the jetwash before tomorrows trip. Noticed some rust at the bottom of the drivers door which needs sorting sooner rather than later. Fluids checked and ready for an early start.

I hope theres a big pile of bacon. ;)

A jolly successful day today. We have a new auxiliary belt, we've replaced the boot struts and installed a rear brace courtesy of Catfabs, we have done an entire coolant flush (picture shows Steve hard at work) of which the car was in dire need, and finally we replaced the bank 1 lambda sensor.

Couldn't do the fuel filter as the muppets sent the wrong one, ran out of time to Tigerseal the spoiler on and discovered it's the a/c compressor which appears to be borked. Other relevant threads soon to be updated, but for now I'm away with the missus for our anniversary.

And we drove here in the Cougar. [emoji3]

Cheers!

So what do you think is in the box? This is a trick question.
