Less than 5000 miles since the last change, (she does maybe 250-300 miles a year these days) but just shy of 7 years which is 2 years longer than Rover recommended... back when they existed.
As you probably all know, rubber hardens over time so although the belts that came off looked pristine - still had the Gates logo on the backside which runs over the tensioner FFS - there was still the risk of stripping teeth. And yes, the K is an interference engine.
Anyway she had a glorious run and we both have an enormous affection for that high-revving lunatic.
Tomorrow, Tiger gets a snowfoam and bath, followed by a start on her offside paintwork. If I have time I'll strip back those rear lights that went so horribly wrong and start again. Much adoration for her, too.
