What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Chris, it’s a real enigma, maybe someone on the site has had a similar problem, maybe by chance I’ll find it one day or when we have a meet someone might be able to pinpoint it.

I have a rattle from the same area, I've looked at that cover over the passenger air bag sooooo many times and wondered it it will just prise up.

As to expanding foam, I filled my centre console with it a few years ago. It's a massive improvement. However now I have a Tiger handbrake gaiter to fit I'm now thinking it may not have been such a good idea. Advice welcome on both accounts.

Diving for sponges today on the C2, retrieved the 2 under the seatbelt retractors. Cant believe I missed them when the car was stripped down last year. [emoji849]

Also did lots of other bits and pieces that didn’t really need doing just to pass the time. [emoji106]

Also managed a few small jobs on the C1.
If you haven’t ripped the carpet out you’re not trying hard enough. [emoji106]

Its one of my favorite parts of working on cars. Mine's gonna be looking more bare then that soon. I gotta remember to look for any sponges left during the multitude of times its been apart.

I do find it strangely satisfying looking at that view despite the headache it will probably be putting it all back together. (y)

Quite a busy weekend.
Started by picking up the alloys from Martin, purchased mainly for the glorious Toyo Proxes T1-R tyres, wheels need a bit of work but that's a job for another day, for now they are fitted to the car.

(Scania in the background for Chris)

Tinted a spare set of rear light lenses and refurbed the top door trims (or whatever they're called).
Very happy with both although I may have gone a bit dark with the tinting, always have a spare standard set anyway if needed for MOTs

before and after. (I didn't do 1 at a time, I have 2 pairs)

Split down the C1 lights to clean the inside, not done this before, easy job just need to take your time.

Fitted some chrome strip I've had knocking around for ages, happy with that too. (y)

Beautiful - I love watching the progression.

But you know where you put that chrome strip? T had a SEAT Leon FR that had LEDs in the equivalent places that changed colour depending on the driving mode. Obviously the Cougar doesn't have that, but I'd love to install something switchable in those areas.

Blue for day, red for night maybe?

:Edit: I tinted Tiger's rear lights that dark and they were fine at night but not so much during the day. I probably wouldn't do it again, though it looks great on an Ebony. Got told off by an off-duty police officer at a car show.
