What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Well it's a good job I had the latest episode of 'Harry's Garage' to watch, I had to hold the brackets in place for 20 minutes before they set:LOL:
I'm still expecting to come out in the morning and find them on the floor. Good job I've got some Sikaflex (destined for spoiler fitting), as a backup.

I think your right about the dash Chris, I got totally p'd off with the demister vent and sprayed a load of strong spray glue on it that ive never had issues with it sticking anything to anything before...it lasted all of two days before the vent went pop and came back out

I'm no expert here, but the guidelines say that the sidelights must be visible from certain angles. You joke, but angel eyes are definitely better than the standard C1 lights. In fact the original Mako failed her MOT on standard bulbs; "Insufficient illumination."

I had to point out to the tester that the car was entirely standard before he would pass it, but he was adamant that she was in the wrong.

Is the Angel eye not OK for MOT ? Surely that's better than Fords 1 candle power side light ! Maybe you need a more friendly MOT guy. !

The rings did pass the MOT fine, but they lasted 4 years before breaking. The stock sidelights do suck, but I'm wondering what else to do short term. Ideally, I'd have lights like the new Volvos! :D

Mick, Gorilla glue is just water-activated superglue (cyanoacrylite) and as much as it loves sticking fingers, lips, and eyelids together, it's shockingly bad with many plastics

Olly, your angel eyes lasted for four years, which is far longer than most incandescents. Now, since you've got the units apart you've got some great options like modifying the sidelight holder to take a decent LED set. But have you considered just...installing another set of angel eyes?

Watched Wildcat and Ocean get hammered by some of the worst hail I've ever witnessed outside western Germany.

Fortunately no damage was done at all - nothing like what Tiger went through - so Wildcat and I then went out for a small high-speed tour to the shops.

And then I noticed that Wildcat has had her sunglasses on for nearly two weeks. Totally missed it. Probably need to sort that. Or not. Meh.

If there's any pictures of Al's engine bay knocking about, I think his Weapon R intake clears a strut brace. I realise that a Weapon R would probably be very hard to come by these days, but a look at it might allow you to mimic the shape with universal hose elbows.

Good idea Rich. If I buy one of those universal kits with plenty of pipe and hose pieces I should be able to knock something together and still use the decent Pipercross cone.

Flexi is horrible stuff, it causes lots of drag on the inside of the tube. I really wouldn’t use it on an intake, you’d end up with something worse for flow than Fords original system.
