What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Love them clocks, well the digits. Get photoshop on it :)

Well today i decided to get the wing/door mirror indicators sorted as all but two of the led's had blown. They were looking abit rubbish .
A couple of hours out there....

So envious, Al! Not only auxiliary power to the doors, but also spurs from the indicators.

After seeing this again - as well as the floor puddle lights that T's Skoda has - I really need to man up and get on with this.

Chris, i got some puddle lights some time back and they reflect the cougar logo but for the life of me, i can't remember if i made them up or if i bought them with the logo fitted. Try WISH

Oh, I have the puddle lights, (just plain without a pattern/logo). My problem has always been getting the wiring into the doors. I've seen the tutorial of course, but it seems to be a difficult trick.

I suspect I'll do what I usually do; sit on it until I get annoyed with myself and then just get on with it, complications bedamned.

LED strips? ebay mate like everything :). It's a long time since i bought it though, i also have red and white. I need to get my 4th rear brakelight renewed as well. The white was for an interior mod but i never got around to it, maybe one day soon. Just search ebay for orange led strips, normally supplied in 2mtr strips in 6" cut offs.

Spent the evening washing stains from a small rubber item.

Every time it dries I find it’s still contaminated and have to wash it again with ever more vigour, don’t want to rip it though. That could be a disaster.

Depends on the composition and porosity of the rubber - so please check what it's made of against the ingredients list for potential reactions - but I use this stuff on anything that needs to be shiny and stay that way for years on end.

Today this got Shiny.

Having pondered the options I used a craft knife and cut the nipples off the back of it. Then this happened.

Mako, see anything familiar ?

Somebody ask me how I polished the mat.

Foobar, Hairspray ? I 'd like to think I'm fairly innovative but hairspray as polish ? I want it to shine not set it alight. In any event Mrs Mabo doesn't posses hairspray and despite my covid hair cut I'm not entirely convinced that I possess hair.
We do not have hairspray readily available.

We do however have feet, and items to prevent feet fraying when in use in our paved world.
The non fraying foot devices need to be cleaned occasionally.

Which, I now know is pretty good for polishing rubber.

David, they do seem to be pretty rare. I contacted an Ebay mondeo breaker and he sold me the mat. It looked every bit of its 20 years old when it arrived. Less so now.
