Whats the difference between me and you? C1 or C2

After inspecting parts of the "2001" C2 zetec recently aquired, iv'e noticed that my C1 only has one lambda sensor where as the C2 has two. The EGR system is also ommitted from the C2.
Hence the ref: "2001". Perhaps would have been better to state "Late" rather than C2.
Yeah you have to watch out mate as some c1s were still kicking about well into 2002 and some of the engines are a bit of mix and match too, just look at dumb Daves green v6, a real Friday afternoon car lol
Another subtle difference i've noticed on the dash binnacle warning system.
ZETEC:

Were the handbooks different as well? I've seen the blue plastic ones and the grey ones with a button fastening.

Assuming you're talking about the Zetec, my MY1999 (Mako) doesn't have an EGR system. Neither the plumbing nor fittings are present. You may remember that I posted a slightly confused thread about this - turns out that it is the original lump in there, so that's how it was built.
For what it's worth, my MY2000 V6 (Tiger) doe...did have an EGR system on it, as you might expect.

Where does my C1/C2 beast stand? It's a C1 with a C2 bumper.
It's Dark Tourmalline, can't see that the bumper has been resprayed, unless it was completely stripped first?!

Wrong green, perhaps someone had a bump and swapped the bumper, C2 is Amazon green. I think I saw your car on sale once a while ago
With the work that's being done over at the Pid cave with C1-C2 conversion, i've found quite a few differences. The latest is the undertray, obviously the bumpers are different but the C2 undertray is completely different. I've layed the C1 type over the C2 here.
Some more differences noted by Jim, Chris and I this weekend past...
C2 seat belts are black not grey
It's already been noted that the centre console is different, the armrest attached to it is also a darker colour 'leather'
speaker wiring looms are different

Sill plates are different, also stands to reason the wings are slightly different in pattern too.
I've mentioned this a few times in conversation since my doppleganger swap but i'm not sure if i mentioned it in the build/conversion thread. Yes the wings are different C1/C2.
I believe you did Al, at least indirectly. IIRC, it's to do with the way that the bumper interfaces with them, and therefore the way the lights fit, (or rather, how they don't).
