Inner city driving innit - 5 miles in 45 minutes is the norm - having said that I really must try changing out of 2nd now and again

What Iain's negated to mention here is that his employer pays his fuel bills. If Miss Lizzie was stumping up for my unleaded I'd be ragging it too!

My normal average is around 27mpg. However, last week I drove (for one day only!!) like a "Sunday Driver" into work, the roads were clear, so didn't do anymore than 35mph all the way in (in 5th gear).....and got....wait for it...... 41.7mpg. But, I can't drive like an old fart for the rest of my days, so 27mpg will have to do!! lol
