Whats your MPG say?

Well.........................since The Mafia fixed the rear end shimmy I've been bangin her around all over the place and scaring the s**t out of meself. Got up the a**e of a porsche at 90 - dropped GG into 4th when he moved out of the way and gave him a good growl on the way past :)

Today I also enjoyed giving some chav in an A3 the finger as the secondaries kicked in and I breezed past him at the lights.

The red line took a severe bashing today and I still returned a healthy 19.2..............if I wanted to drive like a grandad I'd've bought a mondeo 1,8 FFS.

If the master plan comes off over the next few weeks I dread to think what I might get up to
:devilish:

Usually approx 21mpg driving round town. 30-35mpg on a long motorway run.

I keep the display on mpg in an attempt to drive more economically, however I'm usually looking at 21-22 on the display at time of filling up.

If your worried about fuel, don't drive a Cougar!

Cheers

29.4. I recently had a full service. I drive about 160miles from Coventry to the isle of Wight every Friday then back up every Monday with a small amount of driving in between and I fill my tank up every weekend about 50litres. I drive between 60-85mph depending on traffic and how I feel and occasionally whip the beast around to prove a point to bad drivers and hear the sexual growl of the cougar :)

Usually mid-20's - but I enjoy listening to her growl more than I should!

Much better than my other 'cat' though - my 'played-with' V8 S-Type 'Shaguar'...if I take it really easy, I can get 26-MPG...but give it large going up the hill I live on - then it's 2-MPG!!! (thats as low as the trip computer goes!!!) traci-control off and she's still spinning her wheels at 70mph...;-)

Oh well!

This weather ain't doing me any favours, pulling away in high gears to reduce traction problems and generaly stuck in Christmas shopping traffic, checked today and it said 20.1mpg and average speed 15mph :( not really what you want to see is it (especialy compared to the 32mpg and 75mph average it shows on a good motorway run)

I know the feeling, I'm used to getting around 240 miles to 40 litres, this last couple of weeks with cold weather and traffic i'm down to a measly 180 miles :(

Since I've had all the ST200 mods done (UIM, bellows, MAF, air box, green injectors and ECU) together with the headers and sports cat - and probably more importantly - the re-map - my mpg seems to have gone up by about 10% :)

It's a bit lower around town - down now to about 15 - but better on longer runs.

Previously the average was 18-20ish and now 20-22ish (y)

Thats good, I remember MIJ offering two different "chip" type upgrades, one being for maximum power and the other for maximum mpg, you can't have your cake and eat it so it seams ;) my car does sound sluggish and felt like it had no power the other day (doing about 30mph in 4th or something and it wouldn't pick up) I even thought the clutch had frozen on today! Went to put it in gear and it felt like it was stuck/frozen on (it went down to -10 last night) gave it a little kick and it was fine, may have just been my imagination (probably caught my size 11's on the brake pedal)

19.4 for me. I managed to get it up to 21.8 once. Although I have only had it for a couple of weeks, so I can't say I've been driving particularly economically.

i've only had 8mpg and thats limiter in 1st or 2nd hah, but can get it up to about 50 if you drive in 5th at about 40mph lol

This weather is doing wonders for my MPG. Can't rag her around and driving everywhere in an unnaturally high gearand, as a result, getting 25 instead of the usual 19-20 (y)
