Just need the larger type interior light surround, paint it up and then I can fit my retrimmed headlining

Also I bought a richbrook satin silver gear knob which is amazing. Only thing is I also bought a handbrake off them but it only came in like a chrome effect. I took the plunge and have sanded it back to metal and am in the process of wire wooling to get a very close finish to my gear knob

Lol also exuse the mess of my workshop desk / computer lol. I do love mac keyboard because its so robust and once I have finished all the messy business like sanding it wipes up a treat lol

Also made a split floor out of wood and covered in new carpet. Also carpeted the bit of plastic at the front of the boot as others have done. Makes a massive improvement. Installed spring loaded handles to assist in easy removal of new floor. Sorry I only have pics of one side because my battery died

Awesome idea with the boot floor! Might have to do something similar myself as my is sagging in the middle!

Cheers. I am pretty sure I saw a thread of someone on here who done a split wooden floor. I think it was warthog - excuse me if I have got the username wrong. The plastic bit at the front of the boot was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be. The main reason I decided to build a new boot floor is because the previous owner had a dog who had massacred the boot floor and the parcel shelf. So I bought a new parcel shelf and made a new floor. Well that and I have fitted a 6 stack cd player in the boot. I am happy with the end result though
 
Yes, it was me who did a split wooden floor, having removed the original CD changer. The reason the original Ford one is all floppy round the edges (and not much stronger elsewhere!) is to fit it in all in one piece. To do a hard floor, it needs to be split in two. The original makes a useful template for cutting the wood, and I wouldn't have attempted it without a jigsaw. Mine doesn't have the fancy handles that davidoff used though :)
 
Yes I agree its handy using the original floor as a template. Hopefully I wont be lifting out the floor too often but just thought I would whack some handles on. Also handy as an anchoring point. Thanks for the inspiration warthog
 
Excellent idea. I may do this for my little rover, but think I'll put embedded handles in it.
 
I was thinking of going to go for recessed handles but a mate gave me these handles for free. I seem to always be driving around with odd objects and using them like elasticated cords with hooks each end so these handles will give me something to anchor down the object. Nice sig Buxton. It has tempted me to debrick my cougar
 
Right I was not happy with the grey alcantara so decided to go for black perforated. Still need to spray some of my pillars but here are some progress pics. My sunvisors have been retrimmed just need to put them back together and have sprayed the center roof light

Its getting there. Fitting two new rear hubs tomorrow and doing some general scrubbing down and tarting up with a lick of paint underneath.
 
Sorted my horn wahey! Got the steering wheel, airbag and clockspring out of a ST24. Also installed a horn as when I bought the car it was missing! Cleaned down the ground point where the horn attaches and it works perfectly

They are TSW Pace alloys. I got them second hand. They could do with a refurb at some point. I got new pirellis fitted to them today and could not resist to put them on. Thanks
