What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

You can paint the callipers without removing your new wheels if you get the spokes in the right place Dan[emoji3]

Cant decide between red or yellow.

Black.

Don't advertise your car's capabilities. Brightly-coloured calipers are an avertisement to every douche-nozzle in your manor that wants to take you on.

If you want to go out and destroy the kids in their mum's Saxos at the Sunday night races, go right ahead. I won't judge you. But a Cougar is a car that doesn't need to announce itself. It's subtle, and surprising.

Be inconspicuous.

Lets see who can tell whats happened :)

Thanks Procomm, I had a vague recollection of another inline fuse somewhere, so this is as always from yourself and the forum good advice. I'll check it out.
Cheers mate.

Due to being away on hol I've not had time to investigate further until earlier this week. Coil pack removed to give access and megafuse investigated. All good, looked fine and my continuity meter proved the point. Haven't had time to investigate further yet. I need to run the engine and check the battery voltage. Maybe later if there's still enough life in the battery for it to start.

Right, renewed belt tensioner bearing today although original bearing was fine when i got it out, then found idler pulley bearing was knackered, so replaced it with the tensioner bearing that i had taken off. Had a game with putting the belt back on even with the tensioner tool, they don't give you much room to work in, my lower arms are a bit sore but the jobs done! Hopefully thats it for a while!

Installed a rear-view camera. It doesn't work.

Grounded to an existing earth point and powered by a switched live (the purple/orange reverse light wire). Wired into my HU's "Camera in" port. I didn't wire in the HU's reverse wire, but the whole shebang doesn't work even if I manually select 'camera' mode.

Next step is to back up my car to the house and plug her into the living room TV. That'll prove where the problem is. If it's the camera, no big deal - it cost less than a tenner an all the hard work is done. If it's the HU, no big deal either - I want to replace it anyway and this gives me the excuse.

Lastly, I stripped away the flaking paint on the OSR wheel arch and have found that the rust is between the paint and the metal - the wing is still solid. So I've chucked on some Kurust and will get on it before anything gets any worse. (y)
