What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

They always did work perfectly and switched on and off, maybe different voltages/fuses/wiring/earth??

Try using the switch from your C1 seat perhaps?

Afraid I haven't got any other ideas

So much nicer to sit in Ricky (y)

Each to their own I guess but how does Ricky feel about being a seat ?

My rear subby is now on the floor. And pretty sick looking too. I used a 32mm hole saw with the centre arbor drill removed to cut through the subframe around the bolt head.
Chassis under subframe will need a little treatment but nothing to serious. I hope to remove the 2 remaining bolts with a stilson now the subby is out of the way.
Fuel filler neck will need to be replaced, def past saving. Brake pipes are copper so no problem there. Next job will be to drop the fuel tank. Trouble is its half full !
I'll need to transfer the arb from the scrap subframe to my rebuilt one.

Car 002.jpgNo more unsightly blistering or peeling of paintwork around my number plate. Fitted my old C2 bumper. Still have to get the No Limits lip bonded on and it needs re-painting.

Car 004.jpg New sub frame finally fitted after having to remove it to fit the tank. Looks pretty good under there.

Car 006.jpg Galvanised drag links also looking good.

Yet another problem encountered. Decided to fit a de-cat pipe as I had to cut my cat off. Bought one from Jim Fryer ( Lucid ), but, it did not have a boss for the third Lambda. Bought a boss and got my neighbour Geoff to drill a hole and weld it in place. Great job. Went to fit my exhaust today and discovered that the de-cat pipe does not fit. The three bolt flange lines up perfectly, but, the two bolt flange has a different dimension between the bolts and will not mate up with my exhaust. If it was not for bad luck, I would have no luck at all. On the look out for another de-cat pipe, meanwhile I have ordered a new cat from eBay.

Got under my nearside front arch today, removed the plastic liner and all this fell out:

Under the dirt it's all pretty solid-looking:

although I'm gonna need a new front wing before too long, there's a bit of rot at the bottom of the arch (where most of that crud was sitting).

Slapped a load of Hydrate 80 on and put it back together. I was gonna do the other side too, but the heat got the better of me again (plus the smell of Hydrate 80 makes me want to vom for some reason ). Something for next weekend I guess.

They fill up like that in no time at all, Mart. And the fact that the wings are tissue-thin at the bottom just compounds the issue. Good work though, fella!

Dick, sorry to hear she's putting you through it, but at least there's light at the end of the tunnel and it's not an oncoming train. Look forward to seeing her mobile again.

I remember first time I emptied out behind the wheel arch OMG. Now I hose it out regular, after a bit of silt it clears and I check it all drains OK. I haven't took them off again since so I hope it's all OK behind there still.
