What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

I remember first time I emptied out behind the wheel arch OMG. Now I hose it out regular, after a bit of silt it clears and I check it all drains OK. I haven't took them off again since so I hope it's all OK behind there still.
When I last refitted the liners I sealed all of the edges with lashings of silicon sealant.
Hopefully it'll stop the dirty water taking all the crud into the space. Having said that the wing lowers are both gone and will need either new wings or wings off and plating in the next few years.

Hope this isn't unwelcome, but it's a little bit different. Went down to Stratford in east London to replace lower control arms, outer CV joints (at the hub) and front brakes on a Tomcat which belongs to one of T's forum members. Proper MacPherson strut my friends - no wishbones here.

The car is an immaculate Stage II 1.8 VVC with all the Janspeed mods. Was great to help our distant cousins out...

To keep this on-topic, I drove Tiger over to the shops to buy ingredients for a cauliflower/broccoli cheese bake to go with our lamb saddle chops bought at the farm shop near Ardington.

Tiger needs front disks and pads and an offside front tyre, which can wait until next weekend.

Might steal your reg plate mounting position. Save a lot of brake pad wear :D

Yeah. Sorry. Trying this tapatalk thing and that was the last post it showed. The lovely Tomcat was hidden from view.

New head unit. Yes, yes, I am eventually going to go for a full-function double-DIN. But the Halfords/Sonichi unit that the previous owner fitted died completely and I needed something.

Keeping it as cheap as possible - this isn't a permanent fix - I paid £55 for a JVC KD-R481.

4x55W and supports pretty much every input. Suits my JBL 6x9s perfectly since I'm not a bass mechanic. And it's a damned-sight better than what I had before.

does it have bluetooth?

Looks good Chris (y)

Despite lacking the video screen that the Sonichi one had, it's very pretty. I'm quite happy with it as a stop-gap until I get around to fitting a proper double-DIN since it's doing the job for a quarter of the price.

In the meantime I've got a separate 7" screen hooked up to the rear-view camera.

I would have rocked that in my car back in my days of single dins. Probably still would if they had one with bluetooth. I dont just use my phone for calls I use GPS alot. the little speaker on my phone has a hard time competing with exhausts

I see what you mean, and I would prefer the car to have all manner of integrated technology.

I suppose I could do that - like Manos did - but she's a product of her time just like I am. For the moment.
