What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Could well be, Tim! Can it be put up by one person?

::edit:: FFS I'd be stupid to leave it. Please PM me your PayPal address and i'll take it.

Cheers!
Lol!! Replied to your PM. Errr...nope can't be put up by one person, you'd need a minimum of two. Last time at fest everyone helped...in fact you helped us put it up a couple of years ago. It's very comfortable and it's full height, so you can stand up inside it. Bedrooms both have fly screens built in too. Click on the pdf at top of this post.

LOL you can ignore my last PM then - I deal with PMs before checking the forum so hadn't seen that you'd already answered my question! Cheers!

Well done, Jon!

Though I can kind of understand why the previous owners didn't - it's a total PITA.

I love a sunroof. I'm in the market for a replacement car (not the Cougar, my daily ) and trying to find one in spec / age / price / mileage with a sunroof is really difficult and very limiting.

I guess people just don't spec them anymore which is a real shame.

I've still got the mad desire to fit one to mine (one of the cut a hole in the roof yourself jobs):LOL:

I really wish Ford had done a Millenium Edition Cougar, that bright yellow, nice wheels and a full-length Webasto roof would do me nicely.

Crikey, they were all the rage in the 90s. I recall my pal getting one installed into his Nova SR (?) and it was little more than a bloke with a reciprocating saw cutting a hole in from above. Cigarette hanging from his gob, it was a sight to behold!

Not sure I could do one now when I saw the bubbling around the seal a couple of years later.

Ive got an angle grinder and a burning desire in my heart to bodge something ;)

I once converted a Bedford Mid van into a Camper using a rotten fiat Amigo as a donor. Cut holes in the sides and fitted side windows. Cut a hole in the roof at the rear and fitted the elevating roof. My neighbours must have thought I was crackers, they were probably right

on a side note, am i supposed to have another cutout on the light covers for reflectors for mot ?

Yes. The outboard part of the light clusters is a reflector, and the light covers should expose at least part of it.

Whether it's a problem or not depends on your tester.

If you don't want to chop holes in them, just buy some caravan reflectors from Halfords and stick them on your bumper for the test. Whether you remove them afterwards is up to you.
